Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of DER, EPS, and Firm Size moderated by the inflation rate on LQ45 index stock prices on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2013 – 2017. This study will use the SmartPLS application as a data analysis tool which will be described with descriptive statistical methods. In the future, this research is expected to be a material consideration for investors regarding decision making on buying/selling shares on the IDX. The results found in this study are the ability of the variables DER, EPS, Firm Size, and Inflation to explain 77.8% of the changes that occur in the stock prices of LQ45 index companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Taken together the variables DER, Firm Size and Inflation have a weak influence on the Stock Price variable. The EPS variable as an independent variable jointly has a strong influence on the stock price variable. However, when all variables are moderated by the inflation rate variable, their collective effect on the stock price variable is weak. EPS and Firm Size have a significant effect on the company's stock price. DER has an effect on changes in stock prices but not significantly. The inflation rate does not moderate the effect of DER and EPS on company stock prices, but the inflation rate does moderate the effect of firm size on the stock prices of companies listed on the LQ45 index company on the IDX for the period 2013 – 2017.
