Abstract

An Andon is a visual control that shows the status of the machine, Andon is often accompanied by an audible alarm and a sign light to remind the supervisor when there is a change in status. The problem that arises is the limited range of mark that is activated by Andon that makes support personnel or maintenance not respond quickly when urgent attention is needed. Because the control that is done directly through the manual button on andon will make it inefficient if more than one light signal indicates a problem in the active workstation and to reset it, maintenance must also disable it manually. The purpose of this research development is to use an android application on the smartphone so Visual access can cover a wider area and the information obtained becomes faster and more accurate.
