As the results of a preliminary study conducted at the Batu Aji Community Health Center from January to June in 2020, there were 69 children under five who had diarrhea and at the time of immunization there were 28 children who experienced nutritional status. This research was conducted to determine the relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of diarrhea in children under five at Batu Aji Health Center in 2020. The design was a descriptive analytic study with a retrospective approach. The population is toddlers who have diarrhea, with a population sample of 75 respondents. The sampling technique was Total Sampling. The research was conducted at the Batu Aji Community Health Center in 2020. Data were collected using a checklist sheet based on weight measurement, nutritional status and secondary data from medical records. The data analysis used was univariate with a frequency distribution, and bivariate analysis using the chi-square statistical test. The results showed that 53 toddlers (70.7) experienced good nutrition with acute diarrhea. 62 toddlers (82.7%) experienced acute diarrhea. Based on statistical tests, it is known that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, where there is a significant relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of acute diarrhea with a p value of 0.038. So it is hoped that health workers can pay attention to the community about the importance of nutritional status.References
