By doing this massage, the mother will feel relaxed, so that the hormone oxytocin comes out of the breast milk quickly. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of Oxytocin Massage on the Smoothness of Breastfeeding in Post Partum Mothers at Muhammad Sani Karimun Regional Hospital 2024. This research method uses Pre-Experimental Design with shape One Group Pretest-Posttest. The sampling technique in this research was carried out using the method purposive sampling with the criteria of mother with after caesarean section. The number of samples in this study was 30 samples. The results of the normality test showed that the data distribution was not normal, so to test the effect before and after the oxytocin massage, the test was used Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in the average score of breastfeeding fluency at the initial measurement of 2.5 and at the final measurement of 7.3 so that the difference (mean difference) of 4.8, which means that there was an increase in the average score of breastfeeding fluency after oxytocin massage. On test Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test The results obtained show that the significance of 0.000 is smaller than 0.05, so it can be stated that there is an influence of oxytocin massage on the smooth flow of breast milk in post partum mothers at Muhammad Sani Regional Hospital in 2024. It is hoped that oxytocin massage can be used as an alternative to increase breast milk production in post partum.
Asriani Asriani, Lisastri Syahrias, Ika Novita Sari Copyright (c) 2025 Asriani Asriani, Lisastri Syahrias, Ika Novita Sari http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejurnal.univbatam.ac.id/index.php/Keperawatan/article/view/1854 Fri, 20 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0800 THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE LEVEL OF MATERNAL KNOWLEDGE AND THE DEGREE OF DEHYDRATION OF TODDLERS AT THE GARDENIA OF MUHAMMAD SANI HOSPITAL IN 2024 https://ejurnal.univbatam.ac.id/index.php/Keperawatan/article/view/1855
Diarrhea is a health condition that is a global problem and affects millions of people worldwide every year. Muhammad Sani Hospital is the only referral hospital in Karimun Regency with diarrhea cases that increase every year. This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge about diarrhea and the level of dehydration in toddlers in the gardenia room of Muhammad Sani Hospital in 2024. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlation study design. The population of this study was all mothers with toddlers who suffered in the gardenia room of Muhammad Sani Hospital and samples were taken using Purposive Sampling with a total of 58 respondents. Data collection tools use questionnaires and medical records. The results of the study were analyzed by the Chi-square statistical test. The results of the study were obtained as many as 13 respondents with a good level of knowledge (22.41%), 18 respondents (31.03%) in the medium category, and 27 respondents (46.6%) in the low category. 21 cases (36.21%) experienced mild degree dehydration, 30 (51.72%) degree of severe dehydration (12.07%). The results of the Chis-square statistical test obtained a p-value of 0.039<0.05, meaning that there was a relationship between maternal knowledge about diarrhea and the level of dehydration in toddlers in the gardenia room of Muhammad Sani Hospital. It is hoped that future researchers will be able to conduct research with a wider sample.
Murniati Murniati, Angga Putri, Dedy Asep Copyright (c) 2025 Murniati Murniati, Angga Putri, Dedy Asep http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejurnal.univbatam.ac.id/index.php/Keperawatan/article/view/1855 Fri, 20 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0800 THE ASSOCIATION BETWEEN INTERDIALYTIC WEIGHT GAIN (IDWG) AND THE INCIDENCE OF BREATHLESSNESS IN HAEMODIALYSIS PATIENTS AT MUHAMMAD SANI HOSPITAL 2024 https://ejurnal.univbatam.ac.id/index.php/Keperawatan/article/view/1856
Interdialytic Weight Gain (IDWG) is an increase in body weight that occurs between dialysis sessions in patients with chronic kidney disease. Excessive IDWG is often associated with various complications, one of which is shortness of breath. A pre-survey of 10 patients showed that 5 patients had mild, 2 moderate, and 3 severe IDWG. Shortness of breath occurred in 6 patients with varying frequency of visits to the emergency room, while 4 others experienced weakness and dizziness. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between IDWG and the incidence of shortness of breath in hemodialysis patients at Muhammad Sani Hospital. This study used an observational analytic research design with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling method, the research instrument used was an observation sheet which was carried out to 78 respondents. The results of the analysis showed that more than half of the study respondents had a percentage of Interdialityc Weight Gain (IDWG) in the mild category (56.4%) compared to the percentage of IDWG in the moderate (29.5%) and severe (14.1%) categories, then more than half of the study respondents did not experience shortness of breath (74.4%) compared to respondents who experienced shortness of breath (25.6%). The results of the analysis using chi-square obtained a P value = 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there is a significant relationship between Interdialityc Weight Gain (IDWG) with the incidence of shortness of breath in patients with chronic renal failure at Muhammad Sani Hospital. It is expected that patients with renal failure can control fluid input and follow dietary guidelines provided by the medical team to help manage body weight and reduce unwanted symptoms.
Siska Isabella, Cica Maria, Ratna Dewi Silalahi Copyright (c) 2025 Siska Isabella, Cica Maria, Ratna Dewi Silalahi http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejurnal.univbatam.ac.id/index.php/Keperawatan/article/view/1856 Fri, 20 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0800 THE RELATIONSHIP OF FAMILY SUPPORT WITH THE LEVEL OF ANXIETY IN PRE-OPERATIVE CAESAREA SECTIO PATIENTS IN THE SURGICAL ROOM OF MUHAMMAD SANI HOSPITAL 2024 https://ejurnal.univbatam.ac.id/index.php/Keperawatan/article/view/1857
Anxiety is often experienced by patients pre-cesarean section surgery. Good family support will be able to reduce the anxiety faced by patients. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between family support and anxiety levels in preoperative caesarean section patients in the operating room at Muhammad Sani Regional Hospital in 2024. This research uses a quantitative research design with a cross sectional approach. The independent variable in this study is family support, while the dependent variable is preoperative anxiety. The population in this study were patients who underwent primigravida caesarean section surgery at Muhammad Sani Regional Hospital with a sample size of 31 respondents. This research was carried out on July 27- August 10 2024. Data analysis used used Spearman Rank. Family support for preoperative caesarean section patients was mostly in the high category with 20 respondents (64.5%). The level of anxiety in preoperative Caesarean section patients was mostly mild, with 15 respondents (48.4%). The results of the Spearman rank correlation test show a significance value of 0.000 (α < 0.05). The conclusion of this research is that there is a relationship between family support and the level of anxiety in preoperative caesarean section patients in the Surgical Room at Muhammad Sani Regional Hospital in 2024. Suggestions for nurses to provide nursing care to patients and families regarding the importance of family support.
