Abstract

The development of science and technology over time encourages humans to create innovative works. The increasing and diverse human needs also trigger the development of technology, including technology in the automotive sector. The aim of the research is to find out the performance and exhaust emissions produced by the TCI ignition system and standard spark plugs on motorbikes that use pertalite, Pertamax and Pertamax turbo fuel. The research results are in the form of maximum torque and maximum power at certain rpm for each fuel so that differences in power, torque and ignition are obtained for Pertalite, Pertamax and Pertamax Turbo fuels. Regarding exhaust gas, the results showed that Pertamax fuel had greater O2 levels than those using Pertalite and Pertamax Turbo fuel. The conclusion of this research is that the highest power and highest torque are obtained from Pertamax Turbo, exhaust gas emission levels vary with each fuel depending on engine speed.
