Abstract

This study analyzes the application of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to improve the productivity of boiler machines at PT Asia Paperindo Perkasa through the measurement of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) which includes the aspects of availability, performance, and quality. Downtime data for the year 2024 shows an average OEE value of 62.41%, far below the industry standard of 85%, with the main causes including steam pipe leaks, burner shaft damage, limited labor, and lack of planned maintenance. The methods used include field observations, operational data collection, OEE calculations, and root cause analysis using Pareto diagrams and Fishbone diagrams. The research results confirm that the consistent application of TPM especially the pillars of Planned Maintenance and Autonomous Maintenance can reduce downtime frequency, improve steam supply reliability, and support the achievement of production targets. In conclusion, the success of improving boiler machine effectiveness. requires a combination of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, improvement of operator competencies, and the availability of critical spare parts to ensure the continuity of the company's productivity and operational efficiency.
