Anemia in pregnancy is a condition with hemoglobin (Hb) levels < 11gr% in the first and third trimesters while the hemoglobin level in the second trimester is < 10.5gr%. Untreated anemia in pregnant women will result in suboptimal growth and development of the fetus in the womb and has the potential to cause complications in pregnancy and childbirth, even causing maternal death. Prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia can be done by consuming blood supplement (Fe) tablets per day and adding vitamin C. Red guava is a fruit rich in vitamin C. The vitamin C contained in guava increases the absorption of iron by the body, so that the body can absorb iron optimally. The aim of this care is to provide care to anemic pregnant women by giving them red guava juice to increase hemoglobin levels. This research method is a type of descriptive research with a case study approach. The sample was 1 pregnant woman G1P0A0 UK 36 weeks with mild anemia. The care provided is by administering 1 x 250 ml of red guava juice per day for 7 days from 15 – 21 March 2024. Care is carried out in 2 visits. From 7 days of care, the result was an increase in the mother's hemoglobin level of 1.8 gr/dl, where previously the mother's first Hb was 10.7 gr/dl to 12.5 gr/dl. It was concluded that giving red guava juice can increase hemoglobin levels in anemic pregnant women.
Asiah AsiahRisqi Utami

https://ejurnal.univbatam.ac.id/index.php/zonabidan/article/view/1483

According to the International Federation of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, pregnancy is defined as fertilization or the union of sperm and ovum at subsequent nidation or implantation. During pregnancy, a pregnant woman's body experiences physiological changes due to the secretion of the hormones somatomamotropin, estrogen, and progesterone by the placenta. This affects the physiological changes in the entire female reproductive system which can support the development and growth of the fetus in the womb. Especially in dark areas, due to the influence of melanophore-stimulating hormones. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of giving aloe vera gel to post partum mothers. This research method is a type of descriptive research with a case study approach. The sample was 1 post partum mother who was given gel (Aloevera) for stretch marks. By using a measurement observation sheet with OSAS (Observer Scar Assessment Scale). The results of giving Gel (Aloevera) to post partum mothers showed an effect on stretch marks, before giving it a score of 0 (real), after 1 week of treatment there was fading of the stretch marks score 1 (faint), so it can be concluded that giving Gel (Aloevera) effective against stretch marks in post partum mothers
Sridevi SrideviPrasida Yunita

Maternal deaths occur after childbirth in around 60% of cases, and postpartum obstetric care with monitoring eliminates 50% of these deaths. The puerperium is a critical time for mothers. Breast milk is essential for preserving an infant's health and survival. Breastfeeding should begin as soon as possible, ideally in the first 30 to 60 minutes following delivery. The goal of the baby's suction on the mother's nipple is not to extract a large amount of milk. Soy milk or soy beans are commonly available and reasonably priced, and they can facilitate a smoother nursing experience. This study aimed to ascertain whether providing soy milk to postpartum moms could enhance their supply of breast milk. In this work, a case study methodology was combined with descriptive research techniques. Mrs. "D," who is receiving care at Hj. Bunda Halimah Hospital in Batam City, has an enhanced milk production that is measured by using observation sheet with LATCH scores. The results of the study after being given soy milk 2 times in 3 consecutive days with a LATCH score of 9 (good). The conclusion of midwifery care in postpartum mothers by giving soy milk times in 3 consecutive days has an effect on increasing Mrs. D's milk production
Febby Yolanda HusnaSarmauli Franshisca Sihombing

Anxiety is often referred to as a condition where the emotional state cannot be controlled and managed well, causing a person's adrenaline to become restless and unfocused on something. A feeling of anxiety is different from a feeling of fear. Anxiety can be expressed by behavior or physiological changes which can cause several other uncontrolled symptoms and will affect a person's personality. Anxiety that lasts a long time and is not resolved quickly will give a bad impression to the welfare of the mother and fetus where there are several things that might happen, such as the mother's uterine contractions being too fast and not appropriate for the gestational age. The aim of this case study was to measure the level of anxiety felt by pregnant women in the third trimester by carrying out music therapy treatment for 7 minutes in 1 consecutive week at BPM Midwife Paulina, Batam City in 2024. The method of care is in the form of a case study. carried out on third trimester pregnant women with mild anxiety with music therapy and using documentation in the form of SOAP. The sample was 1 pregnant woman with mild anxiety at BPM Midwife Paulina. The assessment of maternal anxiety measures uses a questionnaire consisting of 14 questions regarding anxiety.
The treatment of non-pharmacological pain management is intended to lessen pain, particularly during the first stage of labor, pain management is more effective than pharmacological methods because it is cheap, simple effective, and without adverse effects. In the early stages, it is important to provide maternal care, which includes teaching relaxing techniques such as breathing and Birth ball therapy. The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy of birth ball and breathing exercises. This research methodology uses a case study approach and is a form of descriptive research. In order to reduce labor pain during the active phase I of labor, one mother in the sample used deep breathing exercises and a birth ball. Through the use of a numerical rating scale (NRS) on an observation sheet, the pain level was measured. When birth ball therapy and Deep Breath Relaxation Technique are combined, laboring mothers experience a reduction in pain. During the first half hour, the results show a decrease in pain level at pain score 6 (moderate heavy), and after the second half, the results show a decrease in pain level at pain score 4 (moderate mild). In summary During the active phase I of labor, the combination of birth ball and Deep Breath Relaxation Technique effectively reduces labor pain
Yenny MarselaSilvia Mona

Midwifery care is a complete series of care by midwives covering the entire maternity period, from antenatal to intranatal to neonatal and postnatal including family planning contraceptive counseling. The administration of lactagogue, a substance known to help increase breast milk secretion and production, which is naturally found in papaya, is a widely adopted strategy to overcome the problem of low, or even worse, lack of breast milk production (BMP) in breastfeeding mothers. This study aims to provide comprehensive information on, from antenatal to intranatal to neonatal and postnatal by including family planning. The methods used are interviews, observations and implementation. The subject was Mrs. S who was given boiled young papaya to increase BMP during postpartum care at Hj. Hospital. Bunda Halimah Batam in 2024. The results of the examination given to Mrs. S did not show any significant problems during the antenatal and intranatal periods (which were spontaneous vaginal delivery (SVD)), the weight of the newborn was within the normal range, postpartum care to increase BMP was also reported to be no problem, and the subject decided to become a contraceptive acceptor. In conclusion, which can be done independently, during antenatal, intranatal, neonatal, postnatal, and family planning counseling, no significant problems were found. As a suggestion, midwives are encouraged to implement standardized ones starting from antenatal care to contraceptive follow-up that can help monitor and anticipate possible problems or complications early on
Winda Hotma UliArum Dwi Anjani

https://ejurnal.univbatam.ac.id/index.php/zonabidan/article/view/1487

Anemia remains a prevalent health issue today, characterized by a low level of blood hemoglobin, and is the most prevalent type of malnutrition globally. The presence of anemia on the Global Burden of Disease 2004 list, which includes 1.159 billion people globally (approximately 25% of the world's population), demonstrates this. Approximately half of anemia cases are due to a lack of iron. Anemia can be treated non-pharmacologically with tomato juice instead of relying solely on iron tablets. The goal of this ongoing care is to investigate the impact of providing tomato juice to expectant mothers with slight anemia at HJ Hospital. In 2024, Halimah will be in Batam City. The research method used in this Continuity of Care is descriptive research incorporating a case study approach. Tomato juice is administered daily for a week. The easy touch GC Hb is the tool utilized to measure hemoglobin levels both pre and post tomato juice consumption. The study discovered that after consuming tomato juice daily, the mother's hemoglobin level rose by 1.1 g/dl From 9.9 grams per deciliter to 10.9 grams per deciliter. The overall finding suggests that administering tomato juice to expectant mothers with slight anemia has an impact. Pregnant women are advised to drink tomato juice regularly and ensure they rest enough to avoid anemia
Ulfa Khairati PardilaDevy Lestari Nurul Aulia

Its negative impacts are not only limited to affecting the mother’s mental state, but also the baby’s proper growth and well-being.. This study aims to provide a standardized Continuity of Midwifery Care (CoMC) along with its complementary effort on Mrs. E (aged 30) who gave birth in the Hospital of Hj. Bunda Halimah in 2024. The design of the study employs a study case. CoMC coverage started from the antenatal, intranatal, neonatal, postnatal, and Family Planning (FP) through contraceptive proposition on Mrs. E (G1P0A0) whose last menstrual period (LMP) was on 16 June 2023 and the expected delivery date (EDD) was on 23 March 2024. The first contact took place on 27 February 2024 during the last trimester of pregnancy (p. 36 weeks, 3 days) with nil remarks, no signs of difficulty, and was followed by intranatal care on 31 March 2024, via c-section. The newborn was reportedly normal with no signs of abnormalities. Postnatal care showed a sign of anxiety which was anticipated by a series of hypnobreastfeeding technique, conducted four times, with the hopes to stimulate and to help relax the mother to make breastfeeding activity come out as natural as possible.
Miftahul JannahKhotijah Putri Heriyanti Rachmawati Abd HafidDyka Aidina

The care provided by midwives throughout the life cycle, including pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, and family planning, is known as comprehensive midwifery. Midwives provide this care to their patients to carry out their duties as midwives. Lactation massage targets several areas, including the breasts, back, shoulders, and neck. The basic idea behind lactation massage is to induce a state of relaxation in the mother, which in turn increases breast milk production by the hormone oxytocin. Since most women do not produce enough breast milk after giving birth, lactation massage aims to stimulate breast milk production. This is due to the fact that a woman's energy levels will be very different after giving birth compared to when she was pregnant, when her milk supply was more stable and the breastfeeding mother felt calmer. This research uses case study methodology, which is a type of descriptive research. By utilizing trackers. There will be a decrease in calcium levels in breast milk when a postpartum mother uses lactation massage to stimulate breast milk production for thirty minutes, twice a day. After giving new mothers a 30-minute lactation massage, researchers found that their breast milk production increased. In short: Women who have recently given birth can benefit from lactation massage by increasing the amount of breast milk they produce.
Melinda Rosa LubisDian Juni EkasariT. Marzila Fahnawal

Stunting is a major threat to human quality, as well as a threat to the nation's competitive ability (Ministry of Health, 2018). Because stunting will result in children's intelligence levels not being optimal, making children more vulnerable to disease and in the future could be at risk of decreasing productivity levels. Efforts to prevent stunting should start from the beginning of pregnancy to reduce the risk of stunting in children. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of health videos on mothers' knowledge and attitudes about stunting in the Bangko Kanan Community Health Center Work Area. This research method uses a quasi experimental design. The population used in this research was pregnant women with a sample size of 82 people. The researchers' results were based on the Wilcoxon test with asymp values. The knowledge sig is 0.00 and the attitude is 0.01 (<0.05), meaning that the health video has an impact on increasing mothers' knowledge and attitudes about stunting in the Bangko Kanan Community Health Center working area.
Back pain in pregnant women is caused by hormonal changes in the supporting and connecting soft tissues, which results in reduced muscle flexibility. Management to reduce back pain is to maintain good posture by paying attention to the body's mechanisms during pregnancy exercises. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of pregnancy exercise in treating back pain in pregnant women. The research method used is quantitative with Quasi Experimental Design in the form of a one group pretest-posttest method. The sample for this study consisted of 51 pregnant women with a gestational age of > 24 weeks who were selected using a random sampling technique. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test. The results of the research before being given the pregnancy exercise intervention were 28 people (54.9%) experiencing moderate back pain and 23 people (45.1%) experiencing severe back pain. After being given the pregnancy exercise intervention, 31 people (60.8%) experienced mild back pain and 20 people (39.2%) experienced moderate back pain. The results of statistical tests using the Wilcoxon test obtained a ρ-value of 0.000 so it can be concluded that there is an influence of pregnancy exercise in overcoming back pain in pregnant women. The advice given by this research is to implement a structured and regularly scheduled pregnancy exercise program. This can help reduce back pain and improve the well-being of pregnant women.
Yuli fransiska YuliLinda Suryani

It is estimated that 70% of women in Indonesia experience perineal injury during the birth process and around 0.5-7% experience trauma to the anal sphincter. If the perineal suture wound does not heal quickly and hygiene is not properly maintained, the perineal area can become pathological, such as infection due to the entry of microorganisms into the perineal wound. Perineal rupture is an injury to the birth canal that occurs during the birth of a baby, whether using an instrument or not using an instrument. In Asia, perineal rupture in society accounts for 50% of the incidence of perineal rupture in the world (Sigalingging & Sikumbang, 2019 ). From data in Puser Village, Tirtayasa District, Banten, from July to September 2022, the number of normal births was 76 patients. In general, all new wounds, episiotomy areas or perineal wounds take 6 to 7 days to heal. Infection not only inhibits the wound healing process but can also cause damage to supporting cell tissue. Albumin has the highest protein content in blood plasma, reaching levels of 60%. Albumin functions to speed up the recovery process of split or damaged body cell tissue, where albumin has a very strong effect in healing wounds.
