HUBUNGAN USIA, MASA KERJA, DAN KELUHAN LOW BACK PAIN PADA PEGAWAI PEMERINTAH KOTA BATAM

ABSTRACT Background: Low back pain (LBP) is one of the most common musculoskeletal disorders among office workers due to prolonged sitting, continuous computer use, and poor ergonomic posture. Age and length of employment are factors suspected to contribute to LBP complaints because they are associated with degenerative changes in the musculoskeletal system and cumulative exposure to occupational risk factors. Methods: This study employed an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population consisted of all employees of the Department of Culture and Tourism and the Department of Communication and Informatics of Batam City Government who met the study criteria. A total of 86 respondents were selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test with a significance level of p<0.05. Results: Statistical analysis showed a significant relationship between age and Low Back Pain complaints (p=0.019) and a significant relationship between length of employment and Low Back Pain complaints (p<0.001). Conclusion: There was a significant relationship between age and length of employment and Low back pain complaints among employees of the Department of Culture and Tourism and the Department of Communication and Informatics of Batam City Government Keywords: Age, Length of Employment, Low back pain.Downloads
