Workplace illumination, duration of computer use, and length of employment are important factors to consider in preventing occupational visual complaints. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the association between illumination intensity, duration of computer use, length of employment, and CVS complaints among administrative workers at PT. X in Batam City. Methods: A quantitative study with a cross-sectional design was conducted among 31 administrative workers. Workplace illumination intensity was measured using a lux meter, while the duration of computer use and length of employment were obtained from respondent data. CVS complaints were assessed using the Computer Vision Syndrome Questionnaire (CVS-Q). Bivariate associations were analyzed using Fisher's exact test at a significance level of α=0.05. Results: A total of 77.4% of respondents worked under illumination levels below the occupational standard, 38.7% used computers continuously for ≥120 minutes, 61.3% had worked for ≥5 years, and 80.6% experienced CVS. All respondents exposed to illumination below the standard experienced CVS. A statistically significant association was found between workplace illumination and CVS complaints (p<0.001). In contrast, the duration of computer use (p=0.059) and length of employment (p=0.653) were not significantly associated with CVS complaints. Conclusion: Workplace illumination was significantly associated with CVS complaints among administrative workers, whereas the duration of computer use and length of employment showed no statistically significant associations. Improving workplace illumination according to applicable standards and implementing visual ergonomic measures are recommended to prevent CVS among computer-based workers.
Keywords: Computer Vision Syndrome; visual ergonomics; illumination; screen time; length of employment
2026-10-01T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Krismadies Krismadies, Diina Maulina, Taufiq Afdi Alfaruqhihttps://ejurnal.univbatam.ac.id/index.php/zonadokter/article/view/2411PERUBAHAN PENGETAHUAN DAN KECEMASAN PASIEN ANESTESI SPINAL BERBASIS LEAFLET: STUDI PRETEST-POSTTEST DI RS HJ. Major risk factors include advanced age, hypoalbuminemia, and uncontrolled diabetes, with dominant pathogens E. coli and S. aureus. This analytical observational study aimed to describe the profile of SSI patients post-major amputation and identify risk factors at RSU dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh from October-November 2023. Secondary data from 46 medical records of patients meeting inclusion criteria (SSI post-major amputation) were excluded if incomplete, and analyzed using univariate and bivariate methods with Spearman correlation test (P<0.05). Results showed most patients aged 56-65 years (37.0%), with leukocyte levels >10.0 × 10³/mm³ in 71.7%, Escherichia coli bacterial culture (41.3%), moderate infection severity (50.0%), and low albumin levels (60.9%). Significant correlations were found between age and albumin levels with SSI occurrence (P<0.05). Conclusion: Advanced age and hypoalbuminemia correlate with SSI following major amputation. Recommendations for future research include evaluation of prophylactic antibiotics, operative duration, and prevention strategies.

Keywords: Surgical site infection, albumin, leukocytosis, age, amputation, diabetes
2026-10-01T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Darul Ilham, Lauhil Mahfudz, Nanda Subhan, Muhammad Azmi Fanany, Khalikul Razi, Maria Meildihttps://ejurnal.univbatam.ac.id/index.php/zonadokter/article/view/2446HUBUNGAN ASIMETRI PUNGGUNG DENGAN KELUHAN NYERI PUNGGUNG BAWAH PADA MAHASISWI ASRAMA PUTRI FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS BATAM2026-10-01T03:21:27+00:00Yani Christina[email protected]Nanang Rudy Utantyo[email protected]Vanessa Amelia[email protected]
ABSTRACT

Background: Back asymmetry is a form of postural imbalance that may affect load distribution on the spine and contribute to low back pain complaints.

Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between back asymmetry and low back pain complaints among female students of the Women's Dormitory, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Batam.

Methods: This study used an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach.
