<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Hyperbilirubinemia in neonates is an increase in total bilirubin levels in the first week of birth. Jaundice is a yellow discoloration of the skin, mucous membranes, sclera and other organs caused by elevated levels of bilirubin in the blood and jaundice jaundice jaundice. Sectio caesarian is an artificial birth where the fetus is born through an incision in the front wall of the abdomen and the uterine wall with the condition of the uterus intact and the weight of the fetus above 500 grams. Cesarean section is a major surgery that only becomes an option when maternal and child safety is threatened. It can not be done only for the sake of convenience or the interest of the doctor or parent, or any other non-medical reason. Childbirth with action is also associated with hyperbilirubinemia because, in labor with action, the risk of infection is greater than spontaneous labor. This study aims to examine the extent of cesarean section relation to newborns with hyperbilirubinemia in Baby Hospital Otorita Batam Room 2016. This study used a crossectional design with a sample of 124 babies. The result of the analysis using the Chi-Square test got Chi-Square value is 1,722. With an alpha value = 0,05. Thus it can be concluded that there is no relationship between newborns with a cesarean section to hyperbilirubinemia in infants treated in the infant room of Batam Authority Hospital in June 2016. Researchers suggest there is the same research along with the factors that influence and the sample used more many more in order to represent the phenomenon of hyperbilirubinemia in infants born in cesarean section.</dc:description>

	<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">ABSTRACT
Background: Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH) are parasitic infections transmitted through soil, commonly affecting elementary school children due to poor hygiene practices. Health promotion is a crucial effort to improve knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors for preventing this infection.
Methods: The study used a quasi-experimental design with a pre-post test approach. The population consisted of students from SDN 024 Galang. Total sampling was used, involving 39 samples in each group. The results were analyzed using the Wilcoxon and Mann-whitney statistical test with a significance level of 0.05.
Results: The study found a significant influence of health promotion through animated video with poster media on improving respondents' knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors regarding STH (P = 0.000). However, no significant difference was found in the effectiveness between the animated video with poster groups regarding knowledge (P = 0.474), attitudes (P = 0.246), and behaviors (P = 0.727).
Conclusion: Health promotion through animated video with poster media significantly improves students' knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors regarding STH prevention. However, there is no meaningful difference in the effectiveness of these two media, indicating that both can be effectively used in health education programs

	<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">ABSTRACT
Background: Dengue fever has become a serious global public health challenge. According to the WHO, dengue fever cases have increased over the past five years. With the rising number of cases, prevention efforts are necessary to avoid contracting this disease. Although a vaccine for dengue fever is available, not everyone can access it. An equally effective preventive measure is health promotion, and one medium for health promotion is animated videos.
Methods: This study is a quantitative research using a Pre-experimental design (One Group Pretest-Posttest). The statistical test used is the Paired Sample T Test. The sample consists of 92 students.
Results: The findings show a significant increase in knowledge. Before watching the animated video, 56.5% of students had poor knowledge, while after watching the video, 60.9% had good knowledge, with a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05).
Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that animated video media can be an effective health promotion tool to improve knowledge of dengue fever among students at SMP Negeri 28 Batam.

Background: Diarrhea is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in children worldwide, especially in Indonesia, which has the highest prevalence in Southeast Asia at 18.21%. Given the adverse effects of diarrhea on children, preventive efforts through health promotion are essential, one of which is using poster media. This study aims to determine the effect of health promotion through poster media on students' knowledge and attitudes in preventing diarrhea at SDN 006 Batam Kota.
Methods: This quantitative study employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The study population consisted of all students at SDN 006 Batam Kota, with a sample of 94 students selected using the Slovin formula and quota sampling technique. Data were collected through knowledge and attitude questionnaires and analyzed using parametric paired t-test or non-parametric Wilcoxon test, depending on data distribution.
Results: The study results showed a significant increase in students' knowledge and attitudes after receiving health promotion through poster media. Data analysis using the Wilcoxon test revealed a p-value of 0.001 for the knowledge variable and p-value of 0.001 for the attitude variable, indicating a significant difference before and after the intervention (p < 0.05).
Conclusion: Health promotion through poster media has been proven to significantly improve students' knowledge and attitudes in preventing diarrhea at SDN 006 Batam Kota. Therefore, this medium can be utilized as an effective health education method in school settings.

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: Cervical cancer is a leading cause of death among Indonesian women, mainly due to late diagnosis. Pap Smear is an effective early detection method, yet its coverage remains low despite frequent education efforts. Women's knowledge is believed to influence screening decisions.
Methods: A descriptive correlative study with a cross-sectional approach was conducted on 96 married women aged 20–65 years, selected via purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Fisher Exact Test.
Results: Most respondents had good knowledge about cervical cancer (86.5%) and early detection of Pap Smear (89.6%), but only 26.0% had ever had a Pap Smear examination. Bivariate analysis showed that there was no significant relationship between knowledge of cervical cancer and Pap Smear examination (p = 0.503). However, there was a significant relationship between knowledge of early detection of Pap Smear and Pap Smear examination (p = 0.059).
Conclusion: Specific and applicable knowledge about Pap Smear has been proven to influence early detection actions, while general knowledge about cervical cancer is not enough to encourage screening actions. Health education should be focused on practical aspects to encourage increased participation of women in cervical cancer screening.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Background: Acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammation of the pilosebaceous follicles that commonly affects adolescents, especially females. One of the external factors suspected to contribute to the onset of acne is the use of cosmetics. However, scientific evidence regarding this relationship remains varied. This study aims to determine the relationship between cosmetic use and the incidence of acne vulgaris among female students at SMAN 20 Kota Batam.
Methods: This study employed an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 218 students were selected using purposive sampling from a population of 480. Data were collected through direct clinical examinations by a physician, and the frequency of cosmetic use was measured using the Cumulative Cosmetic Exposure Index (CCEI). Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test.
Results: Most respondents used cosmetics with moderate to high frequency, and more than half did not experience acne vulgaris. Statistical analysis showed no significant relationship between the frequency of cosmetic use and the incidence of acne vulgaris (p = 0,991).
Conclusion: There is no statistically significant relationship between cosmetic use and the incidence of acne vulgaris among female students at SMAN 20 Kota Batam. Better education is needed for adolescents in choosing cosmetics that are appropriate for their skin type.</dc:description>
