Abstrak

The development of electronic payments not only has a positive impact in Indonesia, but also a negative impact that can cause losses to both sellers and buyers. The aim of this research is to determine the process of resolving criminal acts against perpetrators of fraud through electronic payments and how they are implemented, obstacle factors and solutions to the process of resolving criminal acts against perpetrators of fraud through electronic payments. This research uses empirical research methods and a qualitative research approach. Based on Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions which has been updated in Law Number 1 of 2024, every person who deliberately and without permission spreads false and misleading news. which is detrimental to consumers in terms of electronics. The results of research conducted at the Barelang Police, Batam City, to prevent this from happening is to use preventive and repressive efforts.
