The development of a nation is closely related to the world of education, therefore the education of a nation must be prioritized in order to create the quality of human resources needed in education. Family support is a preventive intervention strategy that is best at helping family members access social support that has not been explored for an assistance strategy that aims to increase adequate family support. Knowing the relationship between family social support and student learning achievement. The type of research used is Analytical Survey with the Cross-Sectional approach, which is conducted at Batam University in 2017. The student population is class of 2014. Random sampling technique is taken, the number of samples is 123 students of class 2014. Univariate results, social support of 2 families (1.6%) and enough 38 people (30.9%), while the good 83 people (67.5%). The results of the bivariate test, Square-Test obtained p-value = 0.007 <0.05. There is a significant relationship between family social support and student achievement.References
