Rest (Sleep) is an important factor that affects the growth and development of infants. The results of interviews at the Posyandu Flamboyan, many parents complain that their babies have trouble sleeping, only have 7-10 hours of sleep a day. This has not been met the number of hours of sleep a baby should be 14-15 hours/day. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of infant massage therapy on rest (sleep). Using a quasi-experimental design with times series design. The population in this study were 87 babies who were brought to the Posambandu Flamboyan. The sample in this study were infants who met the inclusion criteria with a purposive sampling technique. Conducted at Posyandu Flamboyan on July 8-July 14, 2015. Measuring instruments used by both variables were observation sheets on massage and interviews. The analysis test used is the T-test with the results of p-value = 0,000. This shows that there is a significant influence between baby massage on rest (sleep). It is hoped that this research can continue to be socialized and enter into the health service program at the Flamboyan Taman Lestari Posyandu in the work area of the Batu Aji Public Health Center in Batam.References
