Abstract

Ceria Tour & Travel has extensive experience in various sectors of tourism, operating not only as a travel agency but also offering car rental services. Currently, the existing system does not adequately fulfill public needs, as the ticket ordering process remains manual. Customers are required to visit Ceria Tour & Travel in person to book local and domestic holiday tickets. Furthermore, the car rental service is still recorded manually and has not yet been digitized. The Extreme Programming method is an approach to software development that incorporates agile development and employs an object-oriented approach, encompassing a collection of guidelines for planning, design, coding, and testing activities. This method was selected because it facilitates quick software development, making it suitable for the project at hand. In software projects, errors are unavoidable; however, this approach allows for the immediate correction of mistakes without the need to revisit all previous errors. The system created for Ceria Tour & Travel is A website-based platform A platform that can be accessed from any location, streamlining the transaction process, data administration, and travel package ordering. Research on the web-based information system for Tour and travel services (a case study of Ceria Tour & Travel) indicates that it reduces the risk of data management errors by administrators and decreases the time lost when customers purchase tour tickets, achieving a positive result with a 100% response rate from participants.
