Abstract

Surya Abadi Line adalah perusahaan transportasi laut yang mengoperasikan tugboat dan tongkang. Saat ini, pengurusan dokumen kapal masih menggunakan jasa pihak ketiga, sehingga menimbulkan biaya tinggi, risiko keterlambatan, dan kurangnya transparansi. Penelitian ini bertujuan guna membangun Sistem Informasi Manajemen Dokumen Kapal Berbasis Web untuk mempermudah pengelolaan dokumen secara mandiri dan memberikan notifikasi masa berlaku. Metode penelitian meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan studi literatur, dengan perancangan mempergunakan UML dan pengembangan berbasis PHP-MySQL. Pengujian black box menunjukkan sistem mampu mengelola data kapal, dokumen, dan kru, menampilkan peringatan dokumen kadaluarsa, serta menghasilkan laporan yang memudahkan pengambilan keputusan. Eberadaan sistem ini diharapakan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi, mengurangi ketergantungan pada pihak ketiga, dan mendukung pengelolaan dokumen yang lebih cepat, aman, dan terintegrasi.
