Abstract

Preparation of the final project and journals have several steps that must be done. Starting from the number of credits that have been taken, attendance, achievement index values up to the technical preparation of the final project. Each student is required to follow the preparation of this thesis as one of the requirements to obtain a bachelor's degree. Utilization of web-based information systems by the University of Batam itself is still less than the maximum rated because it is only limited to the schedule of lectures and academic value information. The system does not include data processing procedures thesis and journals for students who are completing the final stages of the study. Therefore, it is fitting if designed an information system that is able to manage the documentation thesis and journal students each school year. This will give an output in the form of authenticity thesis presented the students. This study aims to analyze and document management information system design thesis and journals as well as implementing the management information system final project documents and journals in the study program Information Systems Faculty of Engineering, University of Batam. The framework used in the development of this system is a framework that is based on the System Development Life Cycle by using research methods that are field research methods and research methods literature. Results from this study is document management information system thesis and journal-based website that can provide easy access to information, data processing with a clear and detailed to students and Universities.
