Abstrak

Background: Basically, dysmenorrhea education can be known by teenagers from social media, one of which is a social media platform that is widely used by all levels of society is TikTok. Currently, the needs of teenagers to obtain educational information and information services are still not well met. So it is necessary to promote educational videos through TikTok regarding the knowledge and attitudes of female adolescent students regarding dysmenorrhea. Methods: This type of research was experimental research with pretest posttest. The population and sample in this study were 62 female students using the stratified random sampling method, namely random sampling based on class division and data collection techniques using questionnaires, the study was conducted in December 2024 at SMPN 28 Batam City. Results: The results of data analysis used paired sample t-test were obtained. The results of the study showed a significant difference in the level of knowledge and attitude between before and after being given an educational video via social media tiktok regarding dysmenorrhea with a p-value of 0.0000 Conclusion: Based on the research results, there was an influence of educational videos through TikTok social media on the knowledge and attitudes of female adolescents regarding dysmenorrhea at SMPN 28 Batam City.
